KELLY RUTHERFORD
Sharing more love with the Avec Amour Earring.
It’s only been a year since we launched our story with Kelly Rutherford and her brother, Anthony, but it feels as if we have been working together for years. Inspired by the elements we share a love for: bent bronze sculptures, brutalist jewellery, and vintage pieces with a certain timeless chic, the three of us designed the Avec Amour Necklace.

Its immediate success encouraged us to continue the conversation and expand the Avec Amour Collection.

Keeping it sculptural, but more delicate
Kelly loved the idea of an earring. Anthony had another vision, which became something we’ll release later this year. Starting from the original pendant, we explored different earring possibilities. Long or short? Statement or classic? Occasional or everyday wear? In the end, we designed an earring that feels both delicate and sculptural, created to move effortlessly between daily life and more dressed-up moments, and to be mixed freely with other jewellery. Exactly how we like it.
Like our first necklace, the earring is conceived as a meaningful gift, either for a loved one or as a gesture to yourself. Entirely made in Antwerp, it is crafted from 18k gold and natural diamonds.

Kelly: “Finding an earring I want to wear every day is not easy. I usually end up wearing a small stud. You can wear this both during the day and in the evening, and mix it with different earrings. I love how delicate ours is, and how it catches the light.”
Back in Paris, Kelly and I meet to try on the earrings for the first time. We talk about style, acting, and begin our day with a card reading.

Do you pull cards every day?
Do you pull cards every day?
Not every day, but almost. It’s a way of checking in, a form of meditation, a moment for myself.

I love that. It feels important to take time to reflect on the present, but also the past. Looking back on your acting years, would you consider doing another series?
I love series. I love the family element, the way you build a group of people you really bond with. You embody different characters and live through so many experiences. I enjoyed it deeply, but it’s also a big, long-term commitment. I’ve appreciated this period of having more freedom.
Were there things you learned along the way, especially while filming Gossip Girl?

Ed Westwick and I were actually talking about this. There are moments when you leave the set and suddenly realise, “Oh my God, that’s what the scene was about.” Things dawn on you later. You have to let go of those moments and trust the process. Thank God for great editors, everything eventually becomes what it was meant to be.

Ever since we first saw you on screen, you’ve become a fashion icon for many. How do you see style?
I think it’s deeply meaningful. It’s a way of expressing how we feel about ourselves. It reflects our time, our world, and who we are as people. I truly believe it’s an art form.
How would you style our earring?
How would you style our earring?
It’s so delicate, and I love how lightweight it is. It catches the light beautifully. I’ll wear it every day, but also for a dressed-up evening, paired with a beautiful necklace. It adds a subtle sparkle. A little bit of good energy.
